Northport just knocked it out of the park with the grand opening of River Run Park! City leaders are calling it a home base for families, kiddos, and budding sports legends.
Stepping Up to the Plate
This awesome new sports complex boasts nine top-notch baseball and softball fields ready for some serious tournament action. Looks like Northport's about to become a major league destination for regional athletics!
More Than Just a Park
And hold on to your hats, folks! This is just the first inning. Future plans include restaurants, shops, hotels, and all sorts of cool stuff to make River Run Park the place to be for locals and out-of-towners alike.
Grand Opening Gala
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a who's who of Northport, with the entire City Council, Mayor John Hinton, City Administrator Glenda Webb, and City Engineer Tera Tubbs all in attendance. The voice of the Crimson Tide, Chris Stewart, kept the energy high, welcoming everyone to the new facility. Council President Christy Bobo declared it a monumental moment, proving what teamwork can accomplish!
A Farewell Pitch
Mayor John Hinton, soon to be retiring, kicked things off with an invocation and then tossed the ceremonial first pitch, officially starting the games!
Light Up the Night!
