CNN data reporter Harry Enten said Monday he would “take a roll of the dice” on Vice President Kamala Harris as a replacement for President Joe Biden on the ballot if he were a Democratic donor.

Biden has resisted calls to step aside after a poor performance in a June 27 debate with former President Donald Trump on CNN, during which the president froze and made multiple verbal gaffes. Enten told “CNN Newsroom” host Pamela Brown that Harris performs better with independent voters in polling.

President Joe Biden challenged unhappy Democrats to try to take him out at the party’s August convention during a phone call with his favorite talk show, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Calling in to “Morning Joe” on Friday just moments after sending a letter to congressional Democrats, Biden assured the hosts that he was not dropping out of the 2024 presidential race despite all the calls within his party for him to do so.
