Looks like we know one less person vying for that open Senate seat in '26! U.S. Rep. Dale Strong just announced he's gonna stick with what he knows and seek re-election to the House of Representatives. "After prayerful thought," Strong (R-Huntsville) said, "the best way I can serve Alabama is to remain in the United States House." So there you have it folks! He's in for 2026 in the House and nowhere else. For those just tuning in, Strong reps Alabama's Fifth Congressional District. He hopped over to the House in 2022 after leading the Madison County Commission for over a decade. This guy isn't just warming a seat. Strong's on the House Appropriations Committee, pulling weight on subcommittees like Commerce, Justice, and Science, Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and even the Legislative Branch Subcommittee. Plus, he chairs the Homeland Security Emergency Management and Technology Subcommittee! “Representing North Alabama has been the most rewarding experience," Strong gushed. "I truly believe I am where the Lord wants me!" This news comes hot on the heels of Tommy Tuberville's announcement that he's eyeing the Governor's mansion instead of another Senate term. That leaves a Senate spot wide open. Strong's name was definitely floating around as a possibility, but now it looks like the race just got a little less crowded. Who's next to throw their hat in the ring? Stay tuned, ChumCity will keep you posted!Dale Strong Sticking Around in the House!

Senate Shakeup?
Tired of settling for less, Alabama? For too long, we've seen our so-called Republican supermajority in Montgomery expand government, spend like crazy, and ignore the reforms we demanded. But with Senator Tommy Tuberville running for Governor, we finally have a shot at real change! This isn't just another campaign; it's a battle for Alabama's very soul! I was there when Coach Tuberville announced his run, and the energy was unreal! What struck me even more was the crowd: everyday Alabamians – business owners, retirees, students, families – who love this state. Like us, they believe Tuberville will answer to the people, not special interests. He's like Donald Trump heading to Washington to drain the swamp, but Tuberville's here to drain the moat around Montgomery – that murky, self-serving political class that's walled itself off from us! Senator Tuberville didn't go to D.C. to win a popularity contest; he went to lead! Remember when the Biden administration tried to force abortion-on-demand through the Department of Defense? Tuberville stood his ground, blocking military promotions until they backed down. He stood firm when others caved because principle still matters. That's the kind of leadership we desperately need in Montgomery. He's consistently backed President Trump, fought for border security, supported school choice, and defended our Constitution. He's brought a coach's discipline to the chaos of Washington, and now he's bringing that same tenacity to take on the bloated political machine in our state capital. Coach Tuberville knows how to lead under pressure, rally a team, and stay focused. These aren't just slogans; they're traits Alabama needs now. Let's face it, Alabama doesn't have a Democrat problem; we have a pretender problem! Our legislature is packed with RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) who campaign conservative but govern like bureaucrats. They've ballooned government instead of shrinking it! Alabama's 2025 budget is a record $3.7 billion, up nearly 10%! Instead of cutting taxes for Alabama families, they're sitting on surpluses. They've refused to ditch the state income tax, even though our neighbors have either eliminated it or are in the process of doing so. Instead of reforming bloated agencies, they bury conservative bills while quietly growing state payrolls and perks. This isn't fiscal conservatism; it's cowardice! Tuberville isn't afraid to name names and challenge the system. He's ready to shine a light on Montgomery's insider games, just like Trump did in Washington. He won't tiptoe around the establishment; he'll bulldoze through it! But he can't do it alone. We need to give him a conservative legislature by challenging RINOs in the primaries and recruiting citizen legislators who believe government should serve the people, not special interests. He's already laying out a vision for business growth and economic expansion. As a pro-growth conservative, Tuberville understands that job creation starts by empowering small business owners, cutting red tape, and ensuring our tax policy rewards, not punishes, entrepreneurship. These aren't radical ideas; they're common sense! Governor Ivey's tenure is ending, and so is the excuse-making. The 2026 election is our chance to hit reset! We must organize and engage! We need to vote right, not just red! Alabama conservatives must rise and take back our state! Tuberville's campaign should be a rallying cry for a new generation of Alabama leaders ready to restore Alabama to its conservative roots! As a former coach, Tuberville understands the game is won by preparation, discipline, and a relentless drive to succeed. He also knows who the opponent is and isn't afraid to call them out. This isn't just about one man; it's about a movement to reform government, reclaim conservative values, and make Alabama a beacon of bold leadership again! Coach Tuberville is stepping onto the field. It's time we all suit up! Let's give him the team he needs! Let's bring back real conservatives and restore the republic in the Heart of Dixie! Because draining the moat in Montgomery isn't just a slogan; it's the mission!Alabama's at a Crossroads: Tuberville for Governor!

Looks like the '26 Alabama gubernatorial race is already heating up! U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville just snagged a major endorsement from the Petroleum & Convenience Marketers of Alabama (P&CMA). The P&CMA, a big player representing over 200 petroleum marketers and convenience store operators statewide, jumped on the Tuberville train right after his campaign launch in Auburn. Pretty quick move! "Tommy Tuberville gets what's up with Alabama's energy and retail game," said Rex Jones, Chair of the P&CMA Board. "He's all about boosting the economy, backing small businesses, and keeping the fuel flowing across the state." Jones reckons Tuberville will be a powerful advocate in Montgomery, understanding what it takes to spark economic growth and opportunities. The P&CMA's got some serious clout. Their members own, run, and supply over 3,250 convenience stores across Alabama, employing around 60,000 folks. They're a vital piece of Alabama's energy puzzle and small business scene. Mark your calendars! The Alabama Republican primary election is set for May 19, 2026. So far, Tuberville's running solo.Tuberville Gets Early Nod in '26 Guv Race

Word on the street (allegedly from a freed Israeli hostage) is that Hamas honchos were sweating the idea of a Trump comeback. Apparently, they'd rather deal with Kamala. Go figure! This bombshell dropped the same day the news broke about Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar kicking the bucket. Coincidence? We'll let you decide. Elon Musk is outta the Trump administration! He claims it was all part of the master plan, but whispers are flying. Did his spicy takes on the "Big, Beautiful Bill" send him packing? We're just asking the questions no one else will! Hold on to your hats, folks! San Francisco high schools are about to go full-on wacky with "Grading for Equity" starting in 2025. Translation: lower standards galore! Let's hope the saying "as goes California, goes the country" is totally bogus on this one. Dale Strong, U.S. Rep. from Huntsville, just said "nah" to running for Tommy Tuberville's old Senate gig. Meanwhile, Attorney General Steve Marshall is expected to jump into the fray. And U.S. Rep. Barry Moore? He's just one of many eyeballing the prize. Looks like it's gonna be a real barn burner! Gov.-elect/Coach/U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is already sounding off on the issues as he revs up his campaign for governor. Education reform? Economic growth? A state lottery? Bring it on! And don't worry about that pesky residency thing; he's got it covered. Speaking of Tuberville, the guy raked in a mind-blowing $2 million in the first 24 hours of his 2026 gubernatorial campaign! Is this race already a done deal? Some folks think so. Others... well, let's just say they need a reality check. Another day, another federal court putting the brakes on Trump's proposed tariffs. This time, it's the "Liberation Day" tariffs that got the axe. Markets seem pretty stoked about it, though. What does it all mean? Your guess is as good as ours! This has been a ChumCity News Flash! Senator Katie Britt recently joined a whole crew of local leaders and some seriously supportive first responders to check out the progress on the Birmingham Northern Beltline. This isn't just some road project; it's a big deal for our communities, the state, and even the whole region! Sen. Britt (R-Montgomery) is super stoked about how federal dollars are being put to work right here in Alabama. This highway project is all about driving growth and making our communities thrive. The first chunk of the Northern Beltline, connecting State Routes 75 and 79 near Pinson, is set to open in 2026. Down the line, it'll link up with I-65 near Gardendale and I-59 north of Trussville. Once finished, the Northern Beltline (aka Interstate 422!) will be a 52-mile loop stretching from northeast Jefferson County to the I-459 interchange near Bessemer. Think economic boost, less traffic in Birmingham, and quicker access for our awesome first responders. Fultondale Fire Chief Justin McKenzie can't wait for the Beltline to speed up emergency response times. "It's going to save lives," he says. Boom! Thanks to Britt, Rep. Gary Palmer, and Alabama's congressional crew, the project's got $525 million in federal funds to complete the first 10-mile stretch. McInnis Construction of Summerdale snagged the bid to build this phase, so look for completion in late 2026. It's a real win for our area!Northern Beltline Buzz: Senator Britt Checks In!

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall just dropped a bombshell: he's running for U.S. Senate in 2026! This sets up a potentially wild race to fill the seat soon to be vacated by Tommy Tuberville, who's got his sights set on the Governor's mansion. Marshall, a two-term AG and former prosecutor, made it official with a campaign website and a video that's already got people talking. "It’s the honor of a lifetime serving as your Attorney General," Marshall declared. "We've taken bold action and gotten things done for Alabama and our country… Today, I'm announcing my candidacy for the United States Senate to continue that fight!" He also promised to work with President Trump to "Make America Great Again." Marshall's campaign is hitting familiar conservative notes: tax cuts, fewer regulations, making Trump's tax cuts permanent, ditching the Department of Education, rebuilding the military, reversing Biden's "social experiments," healthcare reform, pro-life policies, and backing law enforcement. Marshall has been Alabama's Attorney General since 2017. Before that, he was the district attorney for Marshall County for 16 years, building a reputation as a tough prosecutor. With this announcement, Marshall instantly becomes a frontrunner. Who else is in the mix? Keep an eye on U.S. Rep. Barry Moore, Caroleene Dobson (with strong ties to agriculture), and former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson, along with others who might jump in. Mark your calendars: The Alabama Republican Party primary election is May 19, 2026!Big News: Steve Marshall Enters the Senate Race!
