Looks like Stake.US, that sweepstakes-based online casino, is in hot water! A class action lawsuit just landed in Alabama federal court, accusing them of running an illegal gambling operation right under the noses of Alabamans. Talk about a gamble! Laura Hall and her kiddo are leading the charge, along with other Alabama residents who claim Stake.US caused them harm. Apparently, even though Stake.US tries to play the "sweepstakes" card to get around gambling laws, the lawsuit alleges they're offering illegal slots, poker, blackjack, and roulette – the whole shebang! Stake.US is facing similar suits in California and Illinois, but Alabama's notoriously tough gambling rules might make this case a bigger headache. You know what they say, don't mess with Alabama's gambling laws! Stake.US argues they're just a harmless "sweepstakes," not a casino. But the lawsuit ain't buying it, calling their two-tiered virtual coin system an "old gimmick" used by criminals. Ouch! They're basically saying Stake.US is trying to pull a fast one by separating consideration from chance. Attempts to legalize sports gambling, the lottery, or casinos in Alabama have repeatedly failed. Blame it on the 1901 Alabama Constitution, which basically put the kibosh on gambling and games of chance. So, Stake.US might have picked the wrong state to try their luck!Stake.US Under Fire in Alabama Class Action Suit!

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is celebrating a major win! Plaintiffs have dropped their challenge to Alabama’s Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, and Marshall is not holding back. “We uncovered the truth! We exposed the scandal! We won!†Marshall declared. “Alabama led the way, and now all families are safer for it.†This law makes it a felony for doctors to provide minors with puberty blockers, hormone treatments, or surgeries intended for gender transition. The aim is to ensure kids aren't rushed into life-altering decisions and that parents can provide true care, not irreversible harm. Marshall pointed out that three years ago, the ACLU, SPLC, and huge law firms tried to take down Alabama's law protecting vulnerable kids. "We fought back," Marshall said, "We defeated a preliminary injunction and dug deep into the so-called 'standards of care' these groups touted. What we found was shocking, a medical, legal, and political mess that'll be talked about for years. No wonder they bailed!" The investigation unearthed that key medical organizations allegedly misled parents, pushed unproven treatments as fact, and ignored international concerns about these procedures for minors. These groups apparently lacked solid evidence for their recommendations. Internal communications also revealed that "standards of care" were crafted with lawyer and activist input, prioritizing lawsuits and policy influence over actual science. "This isn't just an Alabama win," Marshall stated. "It's a win for children, families, and reality. Alabama stood strong, and now the country is waking up. We're proud to be leading the charge." Marshall has also been supporting similar laws in other states. Alabama's brief to the Supreme Court in the Tennessee case highlighted the evidence uncovered during their own investigation. The fact that the Alabama plaintiffs dropped their case before a Supreme Court ruling underscores the strength of Alabama's position and the widespread impact of their work.Victory Dance in Alabama Over Child Protection Act!
