Hold on to your hats, ChumCity citizens! There's a major shake-up in the Lieutenant Governor's office. Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth just announced Catherine Gayle Fuller as his new Chief of Staff! Fuller isn't exactly new to the scene. She's been a key player in the Lt. Governor's office for years and previously held the Deputy Chief of Staff position, where she spearheaded policy initiatives and acted as Ainsworth's main spokesperson. Ainsworth himself says Fuller is a "true conservative" and one of the "smartest policy minds" he knows. High praise indeed! So, what happened to Jess Skaggs, the previous Chief of Staff? Don't worry, it's not drama! Skaggs is moving on up to become Chief of Staff for Alabama Senate President Pro Tempore Garlan Gudger (R-Cullman). Best of luck to Skaggs in the new role! Before joining the Lt. Governor's office, Fuller was the director of appointments for Gov. Kay Ivey, where she vetted folks for important positions across the state. She's also a former senior policy advisor at the Alabama Department of Revenue. This lady knows her stuff! Fuller isn't just experienced; she's got the brains to back it up, with degrees from Samford University and the University of Alabama and is pursuing a doctorate. She's a Montgomery native and a proud wife and mother. We wish Catherine Gayle Fuller all the best in her new role! Here's hoping this change leads to even bigger and better things for our state!Big Changes in the State House!
