Auburn's own State Sen. Jay Hovey (R) is throwing his hat back in the ring for Alabama's District 27! He made the big announcement Thursday, ready to keep representing Lee, Russell, and Tallapoosa counties. Hovey's been busy since winning his seat in 2022. He's touting his efforts to cut grocery taxes – helping Alabama families keep a little more dough in their pockets. Plus, he's worked hard to funnel more funding and research dollars to Auburn University. And he's a champion for rural programs in his district. "I'll keep standing tall for District 27," Hovey promises, "offering commonsense conservative leadership and strong representation." He wants every resident to feel proud! Before becoming a Senator, Hovey served on the Auburn City Council. He's also involved in the Alabama Small Business Advisory Commission, United Way of Lee County, Kiwanis Club, Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and the city's Greenspace Advisory Board. You can find him working as a commercial lending officer at ServisFirst Bank in Auburn, too!Sen. Jay Hovey Aims for Round Two!
