Alabama Girls State Set to Inspire Future Leaders!

Get ready, ChumCity! The American Legion Auxiliary Alabama Girls State is back, bigger and better than ever! From June 1st to 6th, over 400 of Alabama's brightest rising high school seniors will descend upon The University of Alabama for a week of hands-on government immersion.

These future powerhouses will dive headfirst into drafting laws, engaging in lively political debates, campaigning for office, and soaking up wisdom from state and national leaders. It's a crash course in civic engagement designed to ignite their passion for public service!

Star-Studded Speaker Lineup

This year's speaker lineup is absolutely incredible! Alumnae Governor Kay Ivey and U.S. Senator Katie Britt are coming back to share their experiences. Senator Britt even served as Girls State Governor back in '99!
