Two standout freshman guards, Tahaad Pettiford (Auburn) and Labaron Philon (Alabama), have decided to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to their respective teams next season. After an electrifying freshman season, Auburn's Tahaad Pettiford tested the NBA Draft waters. But, good news Tigers fans, he's coming back for more! Not to be outdone, Alabama's own Labaron Philon has made the same call. He's officially withdrawing from the draft and will be rocking the crimson and white again next season. Word on the street is that both players got some valuable feedback from NBA scouts. They've decided another year of college ball is the best move for their development. Pettiford was a beast this past season, averaging 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. He really turned it up in the NCAA Tournament before Auburn's Final Four loss to Florida, dropping 16, 23, and 20 points in the first three games. Philon also made a splash as a freshman, putting up 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and nearly 4 assists per game. He seemed to get better and better as the season progressed. Both Pettiford and Philon are betting on themselves. By returning to school and dominating, they could be top picks in next year's NBA Draft.
