Get your nets ready, ChumCity folks! Alabama's annual shrimping season kicks off this weekend, and that means fresh Gulf Coast goodness is heading your way! Whether you're a seasoned shrimper or just love chowing down on some perfectly cooked shrimp, this is a tradition we can all celebrate. The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) says the party starts at 6 a.m. on June 1st. All inside state waters are open, unless they're permanently closed off. Think Mobile Bay, Bon Secour Bay, Mississippi Sound, Perdido Bay, Arnica Bay, Wolf Bay, and Little Lagoon – prime spots for snagging some tasty shrimp! Heads up, licensed live bait dealers! You've got a special area near the Battleship Alabama (south of the Tensaw River Bridge) open daily from an hour before sunrise to sunset, running from June 1st all the way through December 31, 2025. Remember to follow all the rules and regulations out there. Happy shrimping, everyone!Alabama Shrimp Season is Back, Baby!
