U.S. Senator Katie Britt made a triumphant return to her roots, delivering the 2025 commencement address at Enterprise High School – the very place she walked the halls 25 years ago! Speaking at Wildcat Stadium, Senator Britt (R-Montgomery) brought a powerful message of gratitude, perseverance, and the special bond of the Enterprise community to the Class of 2025. "It is an honor to be back in Enterprise with all of you this evening," Britt shared. "Anyone who knows me will tell you the things that I hold most dear are my relationship with the dear Lord, with my family, and being from here." She emphasized, “The Enterprise community is important to me, and I know it is to all of you. It’s where I was born and raised." Senator Britt cheered on the Class of 2025's impressive achievements. These 517 graduates aced career and technical education, racking up a whopping 578 industry certifications! Two students were named National Merit Finalists and Scholars, and 43 seniors snagged athletic scholarships. She even gave a shout-out to the awesome boys’ soccer and football teams. Graduating seniors collectively earned a massive $1.75 million in scholarships and educational benefits, with the top 19% boasting GPAs over 4.0! Britt also honored those heading into military service or education. Sharing personal stories, Britt urged students to see setbacks as opportunities. She opened up about college leadership failures, career disappointments, and even starting her Senate race polling at just 2%! "Failure is not fun. Challenges are hard. Disappointments will happen. But many times they are necessary for your future success.†Her message? Resilience and determination. "What I want each of you to promise me is that when you get knocked down, know that God calls you to do hard things and that we need every one of you to stand back up." Britt reminded the students that success is built on character, relationships, and a commitment to service. "It doesn’t cost you a thing to be kind. The way you treat people matters."
