Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is singing the praises of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, lauding him for "standing up for our Constitution!" Rubio recently faced a grilling from some former Senate colleagues during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, and things got heated. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) even admitted regretting his vote for Rubio, to which Rubio fired back, "Your regret for voting for me confirms that I’m doing a good job!" Tuberville jumped to Rubio's defense during a Fox Business interview, asserting, "He's standing up for the American people...for our country, and for our Constitution." He went on to blast the Democratic party, accusing them of turning into the "party of cartels and criminals." Whoa! He also cheered Rubio's stance on tying foreign aid to America’s national interests, stating that Rubio understands America helps the world, and we should be recognized for it. Tuberville concluded that Rubio's debate skills are top-notch. "He could debate all those people all day long, and they’d never get anything over on him," Tuberville declared. "He's much smarter than they are. He believes... you can handle whatever they put out at you. "Tuberville Sounds Off About Rubio's "Constitution" Defense
