Governor Kay Ivey took a brief health timeout on Sunday while stumping for congressional hopeful Caroleene Dobson at Sweet Creek Farm Market in Pike Road. Paramedics were called to the scene after Ivey reportedly experienced dehydration. According to a statement from the Governor's office, Ivey received fluids and was evaluated as a precaution. Thankfully, she "immediately felt better and is at home doing well this evening." Phew! Local ABC affiliate WAKA Channel 8 captured footage of the incident, showing Ivey appearing shaky and unsteady before receiving medical assistance. Ivey, 80, previously announced a lung cancer diagnosis in 2019 and underwent successful treatment. In early 2020, her physician, Dr. Alex Whitley, declared her "cured." In 2022, rumors about Ivey's health swirled following a period away from public events. In response, she affirmed her good health and expressed gratitude for a "clean bill of health." Ivey's office confirmed that she was back at the state capitol on Monday.Ivey Briefly Sidelines with Dehydration Scare During Dobson Campaign Event
